  • Corrected critical bug, which should make sure that the project no longer gives different results on some systems. In function BuilingDistanceMaps() a read-beyond-memory has been found when evaluating the specified ring-limits. This caused sometimes (only on certain platforms and only if it is a tuesday and a man in an ewok costume stands outside) that the more rings were included, when DOMs were to be evaluated for their causal connectivity. Even though this weakens the separation power of the algorithm, in the practical use-case the impact is not high, because the evaluation of the connectivity with the different norms caught many of the cases where this could have had impact.

  • Experiemental parameter ‘ModifyObjects’ which will give teh Subframes really individual I3EventHeader and Pulses with according starttimes

  • Now for every P-frame subevent the start and stoptime (first and last hit) are saved in variables [Output]+”StartTime” and [Output]+”StopTime”; This is a workaround for the fact that SubEvents shoudl be able to store their eventtimes also somehow, but can not use teh I3EventHeader, as it would overshadow the base-eventheader in teh q frame

  • DISABLED FUTURE: Additonal Option ‘UseDOMSpacings’. Allows to specify RingLimits in units of DOM spacings instead of meters. needs work when comparing different geometry DOMs (DC<->IC because of OM offset)

  • Doumentation updates how RingLimits and eligible Volume works.

  • Unit test now included: Testing library functions and overall performance. Regression test still included (better to have a comprehensive real life test)

  • New function HitSorting::ConvertHits2RecoPulses to revert Hits to Pulses from the info contained within.

  • The Hives have been moved from hardcoded functions to configurable files in /resources; according reading functions have been fitted.

  • BugFix concerning the relative scale factors: the positions of string 79,80 are scaling to regular IceCube positions by 1:3 density not 1:4

  • changed the standard-out of subordinated code from std::cout to log_info/debug/warn ….

  • NOTE: projects makes use of log_fatal_stream; while the function exists compilation fails with icetray, which is older than revision r1678 (8. July)

  • DANGER: Critical Bug with minor impact discovered in legacy code from TopologicalSplitter: if two subevents should start at the (exact) same time the later one never will make it to output.

  • The code has been clean up from (unwanted) residuals

  • HiveSplitter has been separated into a class ‘HiveSplitter’, which provides the clustering machinery, and the I3Module-wrapper ‘I3HiveSplitter’; this also allows the comprehensive writing of Unit-test without going throuh an Icetray environment.

  • Function parameters which are simple types are now copies instead of references

  • The libraries OMKeyHashing, HitSorting and Hive-Lib have grown by some convenience functions (might they find use in future projects)

  • Naming schemes of parameters and members have changed: IC|DC|PinguRingLimits have changed to Single/Double/TrippleDenseRingLimits

  • FUTURE write pybindings for ‘HiveSplitter’-class

  • Minor impact bug found and corrected in Topology::DeepCoreDOM(); took a ‘<’ for a ‘>’

  • Hive-Lib has now a flatter object structure with stl vector and set.

  • Speed Tweaks to limit the number of variable accesses and computations.

  • HiveLib can now abstract Hives and consruct the next following rings by smart algorithms, so there is no limit anymore

  • Add functions for uniting hives (add hives of equal scaling together, while using the union of both ring definitions)

  • Added a function BuildCompletePinguHoneyCombRegister() which does create a Hive with pingu-spacings which does register every and each string!

  • TODO maybe in the future pack hives into class objects with Solify() option to check and enforce uniformity of HoneyCombs registered.
